Meetups Rules
Meetups is a place to plan days on the water around Louisville: fishing trips, pontoon days, sandbar hangouts, fireworks, and lunch at a dockside restaurant. Keep it friendly and useful, and follow these rules.
- No selling or promotion. Don't post items or boats for sale, rentals, charters, paid services, business ads, or affiliate links. Meetups are for meeting up, not selling.
- No spam. Don't repeat posts, post off-topic links, or post the same meetup on several lakes. Keep each post to one real plan.
- Keep it real and specific. Each post needs a lake, a date, and a meeting spot (ramp, marina or restaurant). Fake or placeholder meetups will be removed.
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate, threats, or personal attacks. Disagree politely.
- Protect your privacy. Don't post phone numbers, home addresses, or other people's personal information. Share contact details privately once you trust someone.
- Boat safely and legally. Follow Kentucky boating laws and lake rules, wear life jackets, and never boat impaired. Posts that promote unsafe or illegal activity will be removed.
- Use your own judgment. Meetups are organized by members, not by this site. We don't check who people are, so meet in public places like ramps and marinas and use common sense.
How we keep it safe
- You sign in with a link sent to your email, so there are no passwords to steal.
- A quick spam check runs before anything is posted.
- Posts are checked automatically. Most go live right away, posts that break the rules are hidden, and a few are held for a short review.
- Every post has a Report button. Posts reported by a couple of members are hidden until we review them.
- We remove posts that break these rules and may block accounts that keep breaking them.
